UNCG Soccer Stadium
The UNCG Soccer Stadium is a modern soccer-only facility located in the heart of campus. Both the men's and women's teams celebrated their 20th season in the state-of-the-art facility in 2010.
UNCG played on the same site, then known as Campus Field, through the 1990 season. On Dec. 6, 1990, ground was broken on the $3.6 million stadium that fans see today.
Prior to the renovation, the UNCG men's soccer team was as dominant on its home field as it is today. The site of the UNCG Soccer Stadium has served as the home field for the Spartans for more than 25 seasons. Both teams have won more than 70 percent of their matches on the home pitch.
The stadium still rivals any collegiate soccer facility in the nation. Among its several outstanding features:
Leonard J. Kaplan Center for Wellness
The Leonard J. Kaplan Center for Wellness is designed to serve 18,000 students and is approximately 216,000 sqft.. The facility limits overcrowding and ensure equipment and programs are easily accessed to provide students & guests with a healthy avenue for engagement. The center is designed to provide wellness and leisure opportunities for all students & guests. Featuring the concepts of Universal Design, it is useable to the greatest extent possible by everyone regardless of age or ability. The facility has enhanced capacity to accommodate high-demand activities such as cardiovascular fitness, group fitness, free weights, weight machines, and informal recreation. In addition to providing enhanced activity spaces, it serves as a gathering and event space for student organizations and learning space for academic classes.

Shaw Residence Hall
Picture an expansive, traditional quad lawn surrounded by red brick buildings, sprawling porches, and towering oak trees. This is the historic heart of the residential campus. This is a place of friendships, memories, laughter, and learning for years past and years to come.
The Quad was completely renovated and all seven halls were given top-quality upgrades. Focus was placed on creating an ideal outdoor space for students to enjoy, with walkways and seating areas scattered in a beautifully landscaped, grassy common area. Shaw is the focal point of the Quad, offering a large outdoor plaza with seating walls.
Each of the seven Quad buildings have three floors and all but Shaw have similar floor plans, with expansive, vaulted parlors facing the lawn in the center of each building. Modern, full kitchens are just a step away from the parlors. There is elevator access to upper floors, a first floor trash room and a lounge on each floor. Laundry rooms are located at the end of every floor. Shaw contains the recreation room and multi-purpose room for all Quad residence halls and is also home to seminar rooms, group study rooms and faculty offices.
Different suite layouts are available: single and double rooms with a private bath; two-person suites (two single rooms); three-person suites (one single and one double room) and four-person suites (two double rooms). The rooms have a sink outside the bathroom, ample closet(s), mini-blinds and carpeting.
